sunday morning shoot

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Necessity is the mother of invention. Or many ways to skin a cat. Would make great practice.

A great way to spent some time with your young fella mate. :D You're bad enough on ya own it seems (styrofoam blood trails) but just imagine the stories Ben could conjur up about that round exotic ball; obviously way better then those boring old styrofoam block deer.

Bloody hell, don't start Tony on the puns, or you'll never hear the end of it! He's a shocker!

Well-done, Tony - those piggy-wiggies don't stand a chance.

Actually, Jeff, I was just thinking that the foam ball reminded me alot of a big armadillo!

Looks like fun. Especially at 50cents.
I've been meaning to try it with a soccer ball since seeing this you tube video.

Of course the cheapest ball I've seen in about $10, but garage sales would be a good place to look.
I've also meant to make some flu flu arrows, but I haven't done that either.

My young bloke would love that. We spent the weekend stump shooting - I finally finished a pyramid bow for the young fella (made with a boo board I got from Longbow Steve). Also made him a quiver. Here he is practising. Horrible foot work, but he shoots a very tight group.

Absolutely appalling. This is what I have to put-up with non-stop out in the bush.

Ouch, my Norwegian step father is a master of bad puns, you fellows are equally terrible! Tony, good idea with the bouy. It got me thinking, perhaps a large 'Nerf' foam ball might also be as fun....

Always good to see the kids out with the bows, I'll have to take a few pics and post of my little mob taking a shot with the bow one day too!

Tony,

Glad you floated the idea on the forum.

these jokes are ripping along with a swell in humour levels.

not sure if others will be foaming at the mouth but the boy is bouyed at the thought of the bouy.

(they are for Ben)
