Well Steve!!!!!!
A shirt is a shirt just depends if you want a collar or not. BUT the TRASH emblem ......worn with pride and honour is attached. We trashies prefer to but them on the back of the shirt for others to see and follow!!!!!

Re: TRASH shirts
Gday Steve
Sorry for takin a while but i aint the fastest typist mate.
Basicly it was a couple of blokes who used to go up the creek and throw a milk bottle 1/2 full of sand around and shoot at it.
At the time the local club lets call them CRASH [compounds really are so heavy] for the sake of anonimity were very competition focused,,,, practice practice practise, no fun, must shoot good ,gotta win. So we were sort of frowned upon, just wanting to have fun, shoot our bows for the sake of shootin and not PRACTICE. .Anyway after awhile people could hear us cheerin and laughin and just havin fun. Eventually some of the fringe dwellers came across to watch and they to were hooked, So a small bunch of trads used to get together to GO UP THE CREEK FOR A SHOT. At this time i moved to a small town which gave us access to some great country and it was one of those 'what ya bin doin " calls from butcho that started it all, it was decided we should but on a shoot for the locals all 9 of them. But it had to be different so we decided it would be broadheads only, no pegs,no scoring, hunting shots and above all fun. We also included in the first shoot ,How to's on slaughterin, butcherin, camp oven cookin, map readin, gps usage {they were sorta new at the time} knife sharpening and bush tucker . We wanted a shoot where you could have a ball and learn somethin as well. Then it just snowballed from there i guess. Any way mate i could go on but it was successful because it was differenT i suppose.

Thanks for taking the time for the pics and story behind "The Trashies" , Your two rules sound like all that a Trad shoot needs .
Do you have a copy of the photo of Mick up the tree that can be posted on the sight? Steve

Re: TRASH shirts
Amazing photo.............unusual in that Strowy is actually hanging on to the bow and not hurling it through the air ......

Re: TRASH shirts
Hay all looks like the shirts will be about $40. They art work has to be redone, they no longer have the old screen prints, we need a nim of 30 shirts.

I'll take one! Good pic's. I can also vouch for the ladies getting aggresive when I'm wearing my old TRASH shirt and Acubra. It's just crazy when you consider I'm just your average swaggerman.

And that right there is how it should be. Sounds like it was a blast.Spear Chucker wrote:TRASH wrote:Well Steve!!!!!!

Hi Steve, notice the sillhoute on the top of OZBOW PAGE it's the same as the TRASH one and that's because it was of a photo of Mick twenty foot up a tree over the river bed lining up a target on the other bank. TRASH was/is not a club at all it was/is however a gathering of good people/ mates (new found and old) with like minded interests on having fun and pretty much the only 2 rules and 1 known fact we had was
1. sledging was mandatory.
2. no idiots/dickheads allowed.
and
your going to break your arrows.
So Steve there are many TRASH Boys and Girls out there and if you see one of the shirts at a shoot ask them about the time they had @ BOULIA!!!!!!
