New Club Grounds

#1 Post by Buford » Sun May 21, 2006 7:18 pm

I went out to our club grounds today, the land is a fairly new acquisition thanks to NSW state forrests. Its an old Forests nursery that has long since been closed but the trees remain. :)

There are all these little pockets of different species of trees with old trails winding through them. I couldn't make out all the old sigh posts naming the different varieties but the ones that i could were Forrest oak, about 4 kinds of pine some kind of teak and spotted gum.

I diddn't have my camera with me so no good pics, just this one out of my phone. will take more in a couple weeks when next shoot is on.

Looks like some ideal hunting style shots can be set up there, would make for a great and fun shoot.

Enjoy.
Bow Hunting is my Passion.

My wife says it's my Obsession.

Either way I'm happy.

where that pic is was fairly flat but the closer you get to the front gate the ground has a fair amount of slope to it, down to the creek that borders the land to the west.

Hi Buford

Looka like a great place.
The trees look like some sort of Araucaria maby( cunninghamii) -- Hoop pine. Love to see some more photos.

The sign said "Bunga Pine". I haven't herd of it before.

I went out for a little practice this morning and came across a stand of liquid amber....... took the real camera this time. Enjoy.

Buford,

Powa Bunga Pine Dude!!!

I think it might actually be BunYa Pine.

Stand under the trees at certain times of the year and you may end up with a very BIG headache if one of the nut clusters falls on ya head!!!

Love the 3rd photo mate but they are all good - much better than the phone photo. :D

Yeah that was it.
T'was a bit limited as to when you could go shoot there. But we can practice any time we like at the new grounds. :D Which is good for me cause I need it!

there's a few roo's and the occasional wabbit.........
it's only about 3-4k's from Woolgoolga (nth of Coffs Harbour) and there is quite a few houses around the area so not much in the way of wildlife.
