Two drunk Irishmen...
...couldn't afford the taxi fare home and had missed the last bus. The pub where they had been drinking was right next to the bus depot, and one had the bright idea of stealing a bus to get home!
Mick was on watch, and Paddy went in to steal a bus. Half an hour went by and Mick decided to see what was going on. He called out "Paddy, what's taking so long?" Paddy replied "I can't find the number 91."
Mick yelled "You're so thick, Paddy! Pinch the number 14 and we'll walk from the roundabout!"
G'day everyone. This is my first post on the forum and I thought it was appropriate to break the ice with a joke (debatable!), before wading in with multiple questions.

Welcome to Ozbow Dave, is there a particular aspect of archery that interests you.

Daryl.
"And you must not stick for a groat or twelvepence more than another man would give, if it be a good bow.
For a good bow twice paid for, is better than an ill bow once broken. [Ascham]

I am old enough to make my own decisions....Just not young enough to remember what I decided!....

Thanks for the welcome fellas!greybeard wrote:Welcome to Ozbow Dave, is there a particular aspect of archery that interests you.

Yes, there is; instinctive archery has grabbed me! I started with guns (38 years ago), got a sighted compound bow around a year and a half ago, then made the 'mistake' of trying a recurve. I've been at it for 9 months, or so, and am starting to get somewhere with it.
My recurve guru is on here, and asked a string making question on my behalf. I thought I'd better join up and see what goes on.
I'll get onto the questions tomorrow...just thought I'd say g'day first.
Cheers,
Dave.
