Re: New Limbs
Hi Troy
The limbs are the EX1's they are the 25% carbon jobs not the top of the range. Shot them this morning and was quite pleased, they feel smooth to draw and I certainly don’t get the bow wobble I had with the black max's. Bow was noticeably quieter as well, even at the 5m string crawl.

Re: New Limbs
Hi Toby I had a new set of limbs arrive last week for my spigarelli 650 club riser. I use this bow for mainly IFAA and of last week a FITA barebow round. The limbs are from a French maker called uukha. Interestingly they are not a laminated design but are a monolith construction made from carbon res...

Re: Some Observations on Equipment.
Hi Daryl The triple crown longbow is shot by a lot of archers in the IFAA long bow class., which has some reasonably strict rules on what constitutes a longbow. From the fox bopw web site “The Triple Crown design exceeds all expectations of a serious tournament shooter period. The trick has always b...

Hey Mark
A word of advice, if you are sleeping in a tent with Trad Bound dont forget a set of earplugs, they will be worth more then gold by the end of the shoot

Re: Okay...What Is It About the Longbow..?
I have a love hate relationship with my longbow, many a time fellow tradies at Lilydale will here the lament “stinking longbow” mumbled in frustration. An like you I can shoot better with the recurve but the longbow keeps calling me back. Personally I believe its is possessed by Beelzebub

Hi Perry
Just finished an IFAA shoot today, maximum shot 80 yards. I might be a sick puppy but I really enjoy the long shots. I’m not saying i hit them frequently but I enjoy shooting them.

Are steel bow trad :?: V. R. Dikshitar, in his book, says that "steel was the new invention and the old things were cast aside for the new". He is probably referring to the Mughal period, when the steel bow was widely used. J. S. Lee, in his article dealing with steel bows, observes that t...
