Re: Laminated arrows..?
kimall Those shafts look good. Years ago i had a problem with getting wood shafts spined to 90# for my longbow (i still dont think you can get them), i thought of laminating a shaft like you have to get a stiff spine. Do you think making a laminated shaft like yours could make a heavy weight and spi...

Thanks Jeff I was a little confused about your first answer but that clears it up. I enjoyed reading the book. My favorite books however, that i have read is saxton popes hunting with the bow and arrow and the other one in africa. I enjoy his style of writing and they were very interesting stories. ...

Thanks Jeff
It also came with a leather book mark, shaped like a broadhead with jerry hills signature. Was this book you think sold originally seperate from the full collections or broken up from a full collection? Anyway,it sounds like it isnt a common one then?... roscoe

Re: bamboo board bow. the other way????
CLINTON I just recently laminated 5 x 5mm bamboo lamelle board and cut out the stave as you said, with the glue lines running from belly to back. It worked fine, but my tillering was a bit rough and next time i will use a rectanglur cross section instead of a D section. I will keep you posted on how...

Sounds like you all had a great day wolfgang, congradulations. One day you will go on to shoot bigger game with your bow and arrows and you will look back at your bunny shooting days and remember how good it was. Did you see any foxes where you were hunting? With all those bunnies running around the...

Re: Instinctive shooting method-your way of taking the shot
Instinctive shooting of the bow is a very good and very rewarding method of shooting a bow. I say this because under real hunting conditions we havent always got time to calculate the shot. Its rewarding to use our senses to shoot the bow accurately. I remember the first time i started to learn to s...

Re: minimum poundage
I think that poundage is one thing, but matching the arrow spine to the bow and a good sharp broadhead is worth more IMO. You can have a heavy poundage bow but if that arrow is spined properly than the penetration is hopeless.....Roscoe

Re: Baiting ferals into shooting range
The practice of hunters using bait to attract animals is as old as hunting its self. I dont like to use this method alot myself, but some times its the only or best method in some circumstances. What about if we were in a great depression and we have no money to put meat on the table for our family ...

BILL the dmt diafold diamond sharpener works real well, you can get it in a course or fine. I sharepen my bread knife with it and get good results. if it is a serrated flat sided knife, sharpen the serrations first then place the knife on a very flat surface (suface plate/glass plate) with fine wet ...
