Re: Some arrows I've bodged together

Gene-O asked for a few more pics. So here's a few more. Pretty much all I have pics of.
These are the bright, easy-to-find jobbies I use around the Challenge Course at Wisemans. Smashed a couple the other week. Hey ho.

A first 'proper' set for a chap at our club. I think he broke most of them within about five weeks. Lesson, start with cheapo arrows.

Re: Latest new bow

The Fox Triple Crown is 66". Possibly looks short because it's a very long, deep riser section. Here's a crap screen grab from a video of it.

Re: Some arrows I've bodged together

Here's a few more (one or two of the previous one's in close up). No 'Ace Of Spades' I'm afraid but the eight spliced black and fluoro jobs could be described as 'Overkill' (for the Motorhead fans). I've shot a lot of these arrows around unmarked Field Shoots like Wisemans. It's fine if you don't mi...

Some arrows I've bodged together

Had nothing to do for a moment so thought I'd stick up a few pics of arrows I've made - for those who enjoy looking at such things.

Top Hat sent me some black steel points. The design started there. Stained to look a bit carbony. Grey metallic crown. Not very traditional.

Re: Latest new bow

FTC.jpg Seeing as we're posting pics of bows, here's my custom Fox Triple Crown which arrived from Oregon earlier this year after a six month wait. Smoothest shooting, most comfortable longbow I've ever picked up. Zero hand shock or stack. I didn't make it. But I did make the arrows. Sorry it's not...

Re: Draw weight and draw length?

My draw length is a smidge over 28". I shoot either of two longbows (across target, field, indoor, clout - don't hunt, yet) 1. 64" 55lb Tomahawk SS Diamond (Bamboo, Maple, Yew, Carbon limbs) Arrows either 2213 alloys with a 175 grain point, or woods with 125 grain point spined about 64lb. ...

May shoot at Wisemans?

I'm hearing rumours that there's a bit of a shoot at Rob Mackenzies place around the 19th/20th of May. Anyone know anything about it. I texted Rob but have heard nothing back.

Regards,

Re: Traditional Get Together Photos and Reports

Thought I'd just quickly stick up a couple of very poor quality stills from an iPhone video I took on The Challenge course (no other shots of that so far). The fox takes it up the gritter (you can only just see the arrow). Howard very happy. As you can see here, a miss is an instantly lost arrow. Wh...

Re: Traditional Get Together Photos and Reports

Thanks for all the photos. Again, thanks again to Di, Rob and all the rest for putting on a top weekend. I wish there was more than just one of these weekends every year (about 6 would be good, as if). And next time I shall remain relatively sober and make the effort to put a score in - which brings...

Re: Traditional Get Together Photos.

Excellent weekend - despite being drunk enough to fall out of my chair, then doing the Challenge Round with a large hangover. Didn't lose an arrow and hit everything though, even that nasty little fox. Andy
