Where are you located?

Keen to have a look at that as the 54lb predator is getting a bit for these old shoulders.

WTB kids longbow or recurve.

I am looking for a kids longbow or recurve. Upgrading from 18@24 so somewhere in the 22-26@24" (30@28" might do?)

I will be at the Hunter valley shoot next weekend with my young fella if all the ducks can be lined up :)

Cheers

I agree that his wilderness experience (or lack) made it harder than necessary on himself - but he did what he did and survived.

I reckon if I was as hungry as he was the large game would have been fair game!

Re: Orange Trad Peg at QLD ABA State Titles

Orange trad peg..............wasn't supported in our area at all, was regarded by most that it was an insinuation that the gear was inferior, inefficient and the archer lacking, some thought it should have been a pink peg. Your division is your division and you compete against those within that div...

morning all,

Still looking forward to the Gathering, struggling to find wood shafts for the kids (18# bows and they have 18-20" draws). I have some 5/16's that are set up for a 42# longbow. They might have to shoot them

I reckon you should do a line of blaze orange floppy bush hats that say OzBow. If you hunt, you can wear it with your camo. If you practice field, it's never a bad idea to be more visible. If your significant other raises an eyebrow at further expense, you say it safety equipment. http://www.nexter...

I know it's not Aussie but I tried a few brands before choosing a predator recurve. Cheapish fast and I reckon they are not bad looking.

Thanks for sharing the pics.

They are some fat carp not a real fan of carp but when I was in Cambodia I ate a few and they were OK - it could have been the chilli and garlic though. Smoked eel, yummo its one of my favourites..

Re: Carbon Unidirectional Glass?

I believe that our fear to use carbon on the belly and back of bows comes from poor experiences in the early days of carbon fibre application. For a worthy number of years (in the sense of time to assess failures) carbon has been used in road cycles and for what I consider a long enough time in moun...

Re: predator classic - love this bow

Jeff, I have shot longbow for the last couple of years and almost went down the "spend a bit on a good longbow path" but the takedown appeal won out. The best part about this bow is that it shoots about the same as my 1991 Hoyt Spectra lite hunter that I shot up until 2006 so it was easy t...

Thanks fellas, Apart from this unlucky one there were a few hares around and a few rabbits. I just bought a predator recurve but was thinking about how I could get away with buying this as well and getting away with so the Minister for war and finance didn't know about it...
