Anyone Still Taking Photos
Looks like it's been a bit quite around here. Are you still all taking photo's ? I'm still shooting film in this day and age. I mostly use my Bronica Medium format for all photos that matter. Everything from 645 to 6x7. The fridge is now stocked with Fujifilm Velvia 50 and heaps of Kodak Portra 400 ...

Jeff, what Mick Smith said. Awesome job mate over the years. I feel a sense of sadness. Life goes on.
Don't forget to stay traditional and run a roll of film through the camera.
Eddie and Lewis, thank you for keeping the tradition alive.

Re: Photos of Trad Shoots
Hi All, This is certainly becoming an interesting thread. As someone who shoots professionally for a stock library and the occasional wedding or commercial assignment, I find that most folks don't want to see thousands of photo's of the same thing. This of course is subject to the requirements of th...

Traditional Photography...... like Traditional Archery is close to my heart. As someone who has submitted thousands of images (slides) to stock libraries over the years, photographed numerous weddings, (mostly Medium Format), I'm still finding I love the quality of film even more in this high end tu...

Yes, Ted Mitchell awesome bloke, I had a letter published in Archery Action Magazine in the "Ask Ted" Colum back in 1984. Great advice given by a great archer. It was the same year I bought my first Longbow a "Banshee Razorback" from Paul Wheller in Kyabram Vic. Still have it tod...

Re: Gympie Field Archers Trad shoot 2012
Like you said Bob it was another awesome shoot. Had heaps of fun, lost / broke about 8 arrows, run out of arrows on the 60 sec hunter round. Completly missed the running pig round with five arrows. Thanks to the Gympie Field Archers again for a top shoot. So let's see all the photo's, I know there o...

I think the late arvo sun has saturated the colour of the wood. It didn't look that yellow/orange when I'd taken the pics. Maybe I'd better check the camera settings next time.

(Yes, I forgot it was even there) Should be dried out by now I'd reckon. I was planing on making a start over the xmas break to make some kind of selfbow from it....

Otis, I reckon the lens was about 20-30cm from the little drum. I'll get back to you on the minimum focal distance. Would like to get out in the scrub with it to see how it goes.

Hi Jeff, I think the Sigma should proform well. I know the Nikon equivalent is worth way to much. Most likely as is the Canon.

SIGMA 105 f2.8 Macro EX Lens
Hi All. I gave the Sigma 105 f2.8 macro lens a whirl today. It's been in the camera bag for so long I almost forgot it was there. Should make for a good Portrait lens as well. These are jpegs straight from the camera.

Hi all. Thought I might post some photo's taken with my Nikon D300 and SB-800 Speedlight. Just trying out some daylight balanced fill flash. After using traditional camera's (Medium Format and 35mm) for years, I was a little on the slow side to try out the new technology. I have to say I'm liking it...
