Re: Bare shaft tune ?
Why even bother with bare shaft tuning? your hitting 10 inch targets out to 40 mtrs nothing wrong with that. Would be many on this site who would cut off there right arm to get groups like that. Just keep shooting arrows and the groups should stay, until you start tinkering with some thing like (ba...

Howdy mate, I have noticed if your nock is set for proper arrow flight, no matter what the tiller you should see no difference between split or 3 under only the point of impact.

Re: Waterproofing hunting tackle in kayaks?
I have done a few multi day hunts in kayaks but not ocean going stuff. If you are spot paddle stalk from the kayak you want your bow mounted in a rack the same type of set up that you would use on an ATV. Having your bow sitting loose in your lap is not a good way to go. I would have an old faithful...

Has anybody got one they'd like to part with?

Re: Flatline Raptor one piece recurve build-along
Outstanding thread  , Dave will be happy with the new bow and it wont take him long to give it a bit of mojo character. I thought naming the bow in memory of Pedro was also a thoughtful gesture by Dave I know they shared a lot of hunt camps togeather. Some nice pics posted Rob on the build ...

Re: Specific 3D / target arrows or use hunting arrows
Fanto, I've been down this road when I first started archery again, 59# flat laid longbow, I tried both wood arrows and carbons, woods where port orford cedar and varied from 520gr to 620gr and velocities of 169 to 179 fps, carbons are power flight 400's and 450gr for 183 fps. I found little differ...

Re: Specific 3D / target arrows or use hunting arrows
thanks for the responses. Regarding the high FOC of the arrows, i like it, they fly beautifully, cant see a downside to it if you can get get shafts stiff and light enough to make it happen and tune perfectly Agree about the nice flight with the point weight. I am running 650g shafts with 360g up f...
