FRee target butts...
I have some large solid foam target butts I need to get rid of. About 5 of them and they will handle bheads but I need them collected this week or next weekend or they go to the dump as I don't need them any more and am having a clean up.

On the composite bows I make I don't taper the thickness of the laminations on most and if I do I make them thinner at the riser and thicker at the tips. This goes against almost all what you will read here as it is against the old school way but make a bow smooth with no hand shock with arrow speed...

Outstanding work mate very classic old school lines and love a bowmaker that keeps evolving in his bow designs. Far to many that get a design and never change anything after that.

BBQ shops sell hardwood charcoal which works very well and does not need as much blast to use.Just a thought..

NIce work mate I cut my knife making teeth on files the old ones do make a good balde not always the newer ones.

Thanks Haz I have really tried to take the sheaths to a level above just something to hold the knife safe.This is the first time I have done the tooling and am not really a fan but a bit more practice on some scrap may change my mind.

Having said all of that, if your not confident at longer distances then you shouldnt have to shoot such. And as toby said, loosing/breaking arrows is a pain in the neck. Buckler dont be put off using the TG I have made heaps of bows with it none with hot box and have never had a failure.I just leave it 4 or 5 days before tillering which is not a prob for me as I only make a couple a year.I know others heat it at 60 for a few hours and then they can tiller the next d...

I use hoop pine floor boards to make arrows and it works great.The guy that showed me how told me then that bunya was even better but I have never found any yet to try.
