Selfbows for the Kids
Evening All, My young fella has been at me to build him a bow - so i built 2. One for him, 3.5yrs, and one for my daughter, 2yrs. I realised the other day it's been almost 7yrs since i built one. 1.jpg The one for my daughter was just a little swampy paperbark branch i whittled down to 40", 3-4...

Re: Tools for fools(?)
you can do a lot in post processing. i use Adobe Lightroom 4. it is good for being able to bring back "what was actually there" in sunsets.
have a look on youtube for some tutorials for it and you'll see what you can do with it.

What settings were you using? do you have a tripod? are you shooting with the sun just in the sky ...

Re: Anyone for Sweet Potato's ?
you don't have to keep them covered like you do with potatoes to stop the sunlight getting too them and making them poisonous, but otherwise they grow similar.

Re: Anyone for Sweet Potato's ?
Nice! you'll be sick of them in no time  They certainly are easy to grow. We get a constant supply from ours. Steve, just buy a few of the smallest good condition whole sweet potatoes you can find (small ones so you get more for your $$) and put them in the ground whole (you can cut them in...

happy to throw in a donation, or pay a small annual fee... or both to get you out of trouble.
surely $9.99 per year from all members would be a big help??? leave the site free for 'read only' to not scare potential new members off???
