it really depends on the size of the group i think, theres no reason you couldnt with enough supervision. but it would have to be something super simple, you would prolly have to tiller them 9/10th of the way and just let em finish sand them.

ah i see, sorry misunderstood. have you been able to find any info about koreans using bows in warfair? i know they pride themselves on there arechery prowess but..i havent found good infomation about the tackle. one of there small curly bows would be an effort to maintain huh?? bet she would go out...

i havent been able to find any proof that the smaller korean composists where used in warfair due to there stability issues as well as there dificulty stringing, the smaller ones as shown in the above pictures are sport bows

hmm i wouldnt try it personaly.... unless you hate the bow? if its a long bow (i.e no recurve, no deflex no reflex) then it might be possable but still a very scary thought.... all i can think is twice the width = twice as strong if it was going to be done that would be the way but everything would ...

well here we go again guys, yesterday i started on my first bow in ages, its a hickory self bow 72" tip to tip in a design thats no quite english.... but its also not that common with indian design eather...... basicly 1" wide at the grip for 4" then flairs out over an inch to 1 1/8 t...

yep i use a heat gun and since my boo bows are laminated the back isnt an issue but it dose seem to reduce set. bunnings is where i get my boo sold as screening for $8 you get enough for 2 backed bows or 4 bellys if your cairfull

i agree talk to gavin, if during ur travel u come across a samik skb get the owner to check the draw weight i have a 60 lb model which is acctuly 45lb.... i have no idea what those guys are doing.......

well since u live in a wet aria i would recomend oiling the entire shaft then sealing it with polyurathane the polyurathane can be glued to and the oil just provides a bit more moisture protection. i would bind the feathers as well, since u live remote i think reliability would be no 1

that one dose seem darker but i thought it was the finish, i have been tempering boo from bunnings which unfortunately is caramelised but retempering and alowing it to rehydrate seemed to help in my last few tests, still i personaly dont like the boo board self bows as i have never seen one perform ...

sugoio, kore wa boku no ichiban ga suki desu! any way nice one how much reflex is in there?? have you determined they type of yumi it is? ihave a book about the yumis and its a good read but it focuses more on kyudo as a sport and its traditions

u know you think it would but no the glue used in the boo lamination process holds up to the heat well, the only thing is that you need to leave it about a week after the tempering to alow it to back to equilibruim. and if you ante to a reflex while temepering would be the time to do it

with out tools its a bit tricky mate but i would say that a prolly a piramid bow or a flat bow thats 1.75" wider for most its length is the way to go, i also recently discoverd that temepring bamboo may also aid in its tensile strength as yesterday i was playing silly bugers ith the band say an...

i know gery beard did an awsome job of a boo backed boo horsebow, but i got to thinking, would it work if the back was hickory and the bely as of vertcal grain boo?? im not thinking about the tip touching reflex horse bows more along the shape of a samick SKB?? but possibly with sayahs? tell me what...

sorry silly question but why do your feathers have to be white? i know graham and i have been through this b4, if you looks at some perioud art you will see that not all are, alot are 2 white hen and a black cock, some even have red spliced sections

its just a blank ATM no one wants to see pics of that but i sdded the hndle lam which is of canberra grown elm heartwood, complememnets the jarrah well. once i get in to working it ill put up some pics

well guys i just got my new bow out of the form, to whet your apitite i thought i would tell u a little about it hickory back(1 peice this time, those splices gave me nothing but trouble) 2 tapererd core lams 1 core lam of danish beech and a belly of tepered boo, cant wate to have this one shooting.
